Amazons Smash Hit ‘BACK STABBER’ - The Highly Impressive, Low Budget TV Show
Posted by Nobby
The newest series on
Amazon is something you must see to believe!
If you haven’t already seen it, it’s a must see, so take
some time out each day and watch the 22 minute episodes. Nevertheless, if you love
it or hate it, the message behind it is something we all need right now. The
two co-producers, 27-year-old Ryan Zamo and 25-year-old Jordan Fraser, have mentioned
being bullied after coming out at 16. The show centers around acceptance,
anti-bullying and equality, and with the increasing mass killings in America
the show has come at the right time.
So about the overall series... we agree with mostly every
other review right now. ‘Back
Stabber’ is low budget, and you can tell in the first few episodes, but the
producers impeccable marketing is in our opinion what is making it so popular. Campaigning
the series as “a low budget, big passion” project , is hitting home with
viewers, and you can’t help but to love every second of it after knowing the
incredible story behind the show.
Ryan Zamo wrote the story 7 years ago, and tried to get
anyone in Hollywood to produce it, after 6 years of hearing “no thanks”, Zamo
decided to do it himself, he said, “The message behind it was something that
needed to be seen by the world, and we wrote these messages into the show in a
way that isn’t obvious, its subtler and sort of subconscious. We hope viewers
will fall in love with the relationship between the characters; the straight
guys love their gay friends, white friends love their black friends, the rich
love the poor and so on. They never contemplate their friendship based on what
they are, what they believe in or what their background is. They all just
accept each other for who they are.”
So for such a low budget project, why is everyone saying
‘Back Stabber’ will sweep the Golden Globes? Well, Zamo co- produced the show
with Jordan Fraser for under $2,000. The two of them did every single job
themselves, including filming, casting, wardrobe, editing, sound etc. The
driven co-producers didn’t know anything about post-production, and spent over
a year teaching themselves the ins and out of it, and that is what makes the
show absolutely amazing.
If you watch ‘Back Stabber’ knowing all of the blood, sweat
and tears that went into it, you will not even notice it’s major hiccups. And
like anything else, the more the series goes on and the more they learned, the
better the quality gets. Matt Vella from Time Magazine said it the best, “Let me
clarify that it’s not the quality or editing of ‘Back Stabber’ that deserves
recognition and awards, it’s the back story and passion behind it that needs to
be seen by the public, these 2 prove that anything is possible if you put your
mind to it.”
‘Back
Stabber’ has been accumulating massive press over the past 3 weeks since
its release. With major media outlets embracing the message of the show, it has
picked up serious steam, and has smashed the record with its low-budget
success. As the show continues to exponentially grow, its IMDB page jumped from
#355,000 in popularity to #40,000 in 2 weeks, and with no budget for
advertising and marketing, that’s extremely impressive to do. So, that’s our
review of it. Watch for yourself and see what you think, should it win at the
Golden Globes?
‘Back Stabber’ is available on Amazon now, is free to stream
with Amazon Prime, and can be downloaded without an Amazon account.

THE MAGICAL TALENT OF ACTOR ADRIAN ANNIS
Posted by Nobby
Adrian Annis is one of those great actors whose face you instantly recognize – probably because in the last 12 years he’s acted in almost a hundred productions, including full length movies, TV, commercials and even music videos. He’s the kind of guy producers love to have on the set because he is the ultimate professional. He’s on time, knows his lines and comes in ready to work. Adrian’s reliability and legendary preparedness for his roles comes out of his basic principle of “Why bother to do something if you’re not going to do it right?” It’s simple and it works, and all professionals, no matter what field they’re in, adhere to it, whether they know it or not.
Acting, like sports, excited him at an early age. He began to ‘perform’ when he was a boy, but it was generally on the sports field playing football and tennis. He got to be an excellent player in both those sports until the Thespian spirit’s calling became too hard to resist and he decided to concentrate on acting full time. Being an athlete, however, helped him to stay in shape for some of his more rigorous roles and the discipline and camaraderie inherent in team sports effortlessly overlapped into his acting career, which keeps Adrian in demand not only for his talent but for his ability to work comfortably, cheerfully and co-operatively with large casts.
Once he made up his mind to be an actor, he went all out and never hesitated. He auditioned for everything and treated every part he got as the best role in the universe. And obviously, he succeeded, because twelve years later, which is right now, Adrian has played scores of characters and worked with internationally known actors and directors and is one of those people who make you wonder how they can do so much in such a short amount of time.
He’s been in so many movies and TV shows that they can’t all fit here. But a few of the television shows Adrian’s been in are: “Eastenders,” “Ashes To Ashes” and “The Bill.” Movies are a particular love of Adrian’s and he has been fortunate enough to work on some really solid productions. He played one of the main Deatheaters in the last two Harry Potter films and many independent movies, such as “My Guardian Angel,” “Dumar,” “The Crack” and dozens of others.
Adrian is originally from London but now lives in Cambridgeshire.
Sephora Venites - defines beautiful ShowBiz
Posted by Nobby
"Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself." said George Bernard Shaw. This is one of the principles that Sephora Venites - a beautiful brazilian actress who is now in London presenting about the London music scene, truly believes in and proves it in her actions. I think she is doing it as I write this article.
Sephora Venites makes UK period drama SEXY. Truly. Sephora has recently finished on the set of Hedda Gabler, playing the role of Mademoiselle Diana, in a film version of Henrik Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler. Directed by Matthew John.
Sephora - a hebrew name for beautiful - has posed for the likes of Harper's Bazaar, L'Officiel and Elle, but is now taking the film industry by storm, with a long list of films to be released this year and an upcoming project with director Márcia Leite, and a TV show based on the London music scene. More about Sephora at her beautiful website www.sephoravenites.com.
In one of her interviews, she speaks a bit about her new controversial role...
“Many people have a preconceived idea of the character, due to her banishment from the stage. I felt Mademoiselle Diana would have been free and outspoken; she would have no fear to speak the truth standing up for what is right, and would not feel ashamed to show her real feelings. Very seductive. Taken as a wild lady of the night, breaking taboos of the era and by being ahead of her time. I just hope the Henrik Ibsen fans like her.”

A different approach to become a better actor !!!
Posted by Nobby
Showbiz is all about celebrities and their journey to success. There are many people who dream on becoming an actor and end up in Los Angeles but only few make it to the big screen. The industry runs on talent and hard working professional who try day in day out to give their best. The outcome which comes on screen is a result of hard working and skills of individuals who are dedicated to this industry. In showbiz we came across Neal Kumar, he is a young actor who has done several short films in UK. The actor is so passionate about acting now he has started learning the art of direction in LA. When asked why he chose Direction, he replied “It would help him becoming a better actor”. He is acting at the highest calibre with some Elite people.
His perception seems to fascinating since it shows his passion towards films. He has started assisting in several directions and is gaining knowledge behind the cameras. He has even worked in production from lighting to hosting TV shows. If you want to catch with this actor you can follow him on his twitter @nealkumartv
