Change The Tide - A Review

Rita Aalder's Change the tide was first released as a single and later appeared on her second album, Anna. Released in 2014, Change the tide is a song that talks about accepting one's fate in the midst of trials and tribulations. It's not clear if the singer is referring to herself but the song is deep; with a beautiful melody and upbeat drums.

The Latin verses in change the tide tie in beautifully with the overall theme of the song. "Aequam memento rebus in arduis servare mentem" means "Remember to keep a clear head during trials" and "Accipere quam facere praestat injuriam" translates as "It's better to suffer an injustice than to do an injustice"

This is one of Rita's most beloved songs and rightly so, it's an anthem on its own. Listen to change tide here - https://soundcloud.com/ritaaalder/change-the-tide-album
